AUBURN — Beardsley Architects + Engineers has declared that the Environmental Schooling Middle at Environmentally friendly Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, has been chosen by AIA Central New York to receive a 2021 AIA CNY Award of Merit in the Adaptive Re-Use / Historic Preservation group.

The awards program celebrates the style and design excellence of Architects all over Central New York and honors the consumer and style and design groups that perform alongside one another to create and boost the developed surroundings.

Initially created in 1942, the historic boathouse at Environmentally friendly Lakes State Park is an iconic composition to any individual who has frequented the beach front at the north conclude of Inexperienced Lake. An interpretive middle like this one did not previously exist in the Park and has allowed Park educators to vastly extend and boost their programming. The inside and exterior spaces supply an array of mastering opportunities to learners and the general public by the use of interactive shows inside the show area as perfectly as outdoor signage along the boardwalk.
