Senior Product Manager – Education

RAPS (the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society) is seeking a Senior Product Manager in our education department to independently manage projects and lead cross-functional teams in support of RAPS strategic goals. We are seeking someone with a desire to become an integral team member to help deliver the most targeted, relevant, and rigorous educational offerings across all domains of the healthcare regulatory profession.
What you will do:
AFDO/RAPS Healthcare Products Collaborative (~45%)
- Apply organizational development experience to establish processes and procedures to improve cross-organizational and internal communication and project workflow for the AFDO/RAPS Healthcare Products Collaborative.
- Oversee all project lifecycle tasks/workflows associated with the AFDO/RAPS Healthcare Products Collaborative and its portfolio of events.
- Develop and manage project plans in alignment with timeframes, budget, scheduling, and resources.
- Develop SOPs, conduct training, and develop metrics to ensure SOPs are followed.
- Supervise marketing manager and collaborate with team members to drive awareness and revenue for events.
RAPS Major Conferences (~35%)
- Manage production company partnership for Convergence and Euro Convergence general session and special events including negotiating vendor contracts that maximize value to RAPS.
- In conjunction with leadership and production company, manage identification and development of Convergence and Euro Convergence general session and special event production.
- Manage production schedule and deliverables for Convergence and Euro Convergence assets.
- Schedule and manage on-site rehearsals with talent, speakers, RAPS leadership and vendor partners.
- Provide support for overall speaker management including speaker invitations, collection of session information, photos, bios and logistical communication.
RAPS and Partnership Educational Offerings (~20%)
- Collaborate with RAPS subject matter experts and partner organizations to design, develop and deliver high quality education offerings across modalities.
- Manage and adhere to production schedule of select synchronous learning events to include webcasts, virtual seminars, and online workshops.
- Oversee European in-person workshops working directly with a team of European-based contractors.
- Collaborate with marketing team on campaigns to drive revenue.
- Manage pre-event and on-site/online logistics for assigned programs.
- Ensure quality control and consistency for assigned events based on efficient standard operating procedures and regular analysis of customer feedback.
Additional Functions
- Participate in annual planning, budgeting and routine monitoring of RAPS Education’s financial performance.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior director, educational programs, leadership and cross-departmental/organizational teams.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties
- This position supervises the marketing manager for AFDO/RAPS Healthcare Products Collaborative and the AFDO/RAPS program leads for each event.
What you will bring:
Experience / Education (required)
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in education, training and/or professional development planning and execution, including event production
- Knowledge of organizational development and experience implementing systems and processes to improve operations
- Event production management experience
- Experience developing and managing online and in-person events
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Ability to hold individuals accountable to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment and with individuals from a geographically and culturally diverse membership
- Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations for improvement
- Bachelor’s degree
Experience (preferred)
- Project management certification a plus
- Prior experience with a non-profit association
- Experience with international events
- Working knowledge of faculty management systems (Cadmium preferred), membership databases (Impexium preferred), and learning management systems (Meridien preferred)
